Bogus Credit Card Offers

Many fraudulent companies are offering assistance to consumers to get them a credit card. They charge a fee for this service that can often be nothing more than a con.
These fraudulent companies target consumers who may have bad credit, or are unable to get a credit card by normal means.
Large upfront processing fees are charged for this service.  Legitimate companies may charge a small upfront fee, although most will charge an annual fee, which appears on the first statement.
Prevention
If you require a credit card, approach the large credit card issuers directly.  A third party company can do nothing more for you than you can do yourself in applying for a card.
Never pay large upfront fees for credit cards.  Legitimate credit card companies make their money from the interest on purchases charged on the cards, not from upfront fees.
