Revving Up for Safety!

Great Roads, Great Rides is a major motorbike safety campaign aimed at boosting biker skills and preventing tragedy on the roads this summer.

The Road Safety Team and the Fire and Rescue Service at Northumberland County Council along with the Highways Agency and Northumbria Police have joined forces to prevent death and injury on the county's picturesque rural highways network.

SIX bikers have lost their lives on Northumberland's roads in the last two years plus almost EIGHTY have been seriously injured.
