Northumberland County and National Park Joint Structure Plan, First
Alteration
All responses to the Deposit Draft of the Joint Structure Plan,
First Alteration have been considered by the County Council and
National Park Authority. As a result a number of changes have been
proposed and will be consulted on as proposed modifications. The
County Council and National Park Authorities response is set out
in the Response to Deposit Draft Consultation document. Those issues
which are considered to require further debate will be discussed
at the EIP in March.
Consultation on pre-EIP changes
The Deposit Plan identified
the need to review the approach on renewable energy, but that this
should be done in the light of a regional renewable energy strategy
that was ongoing at the time, and a revised policy approach in the
review of RPG1. It is proposed to publish a draft policy framework
for renewable energy for public consultation. This will be subject
to a six week consultation beginning 23rd December.
